Chicory
For the video game, see Chicory: A Colorful Tale.
Chicory is a protagonist, and the namesake, of Chicory: A Colorful Tale.
Appearance
Within her self-portrait, Chicory is depicted as a brown hare with a pink nose. She adorns a purple cloak over a black shirt and teal pants. She wears gold/orange leggings[1], and a blue to gold band around the base of her ears.
In game, she appears pretty much the same, but is lacking color like everyone else. The player is free to color her as they wish.
When her cloak is removed, it is shown she wears suspenders.

Trivia
- Multiple artists contributed Chicory’s art in-game. Chicory’s colors in the opening room and her yurt were done by Alexandra Kern, while her portrait of Pizza and self-portrait were made by Alexis-Dean Jones.
- Alexandra Kern also decorated the custom Chicory PS5. You can find her work at her website or @zandraartt on Twitter.
- Chicory’s theme and leitmotif on the soundtrack is Chicory’s Theme.
- Despite this, however, for the first half of the game, the theme that plays around Chicory is instead Not Anymore, a more downtrodden and depressive rendition of the same leitmotif.
- Chicory's identifying instrument is the clarinet.
- It is not possible to name the player Chicory through usual methods, as when attempting to do so, the game will ask for the player’s next favorite food instead. However, nothing special happens if one does manage to call themself Chicory.
- She shares this trait only with Clementine.
