Pickle

Pickle is a minor character in Luncheon.

Appearance

Pickle is a short fennec fox with large ears and a large tail wearing a striped tank dress. In the artwork for the Chicory: The Sounds of Picnic Province album, Pickle is shown with orange fur, and their dress with blue and white stripes. In-game, however, their color palette can be decided and changed by the player like any other character.

Interactions

(Pickle asks the player if they can borrow the Brush, and, if the player allows them, uses it to draw their face on the floor. They will be sad if the player then draws over their drawing. Replace this text later with actual dialogue.)

Trivia

Pickle is one of a few NPCs to have unique dialogue changes when the player chooses the same name as them, referring to the player as “other pickle.”
- Among these NPCs, Pickle is the only one who isn’t a developer character.
Pickle’s dialogue uses Five Cents, as opposed to the usual Domigorgon.
- They share this font with Prunus.
- Their dialogue is also in all-lowercase, as well as using shorthands such as “lol,” “omg,” and “u” in place of “you.”
Pickle is one of a few characters to be depicted with color not chosen by the player, on the Chicory: The Sounds of Picnic Province cover along with Onion.
- The others are the aforementioned Onion, Chicory in the game cover, Chicory Piano Collections cover, and opening cutscene, Cola on the cover for the Chicory Official Artbook, and technically Pizza in various official art and the Chicory: A Colorful Tale (Original Soundtrack) cover, though they are always depicted as the same blank yellowish-white.
